I stalled on writing this review because I couldn’t figure how to write it without dropping spoilers. La Femme Anjola is an entertaining movie with interesting characters. A lot about the movie was top notch, the extraordinary performance by the lady called Dominic, the shooting scene with the delightful watermelons and the free ad of Amala extra. Uncle Femi Jacob as usual added onscreen seasoning and Nonso Bassey did great as the male lead. The story was super and without blemish up until a point and the screen cacophony that followed after ensures this movie scores 3.5/10 on NazRev.

I needed this story so bad. Now my hope for Nigeria is flirting with zero, I needed a reminder of who and what I am- a Patriot. I am human and Nigerian before anything else. Right after this movie, I said the Nigerian Pledge and I meant it. This movie scores 9.5/10 on Nazrev’s books. It is a great, well thought out story. Nollywood meets Bollywood, we have the best of both worlds. This movie is the best storytelling I have seen in a long time, fusing both Indian and Nigerian values, while also creating awareness on violence against women. It is really mind blowing. YOU WISH! After the high of Living In Bondage: Breaking Free (A SEQUEL; Link for review); Play Network’s Rattle Snake story became one of the most anticipated movies of 2020. Living In Bondage was 10/10, this one fell short, scoring 4/10 on our critic scoreboard. Let me take you through the Good, the Bad and the Ugly of 2020’s Rattle Snake: The Ahanna Story. The most important thing to note is: THIS IS A REMAKE and like all GOOD remakes before it, it is BAD.

A review of Burna Boy’s explosive album
Before I begin, I must address New York Post’s “Beyonce-Endorsed” statement. Without fear of the Bees and their hive, I must say that Burna boy in 2020 is a bigger name than Beyonce; while Beyonce commands a large following (mostly women), she cannot lay claim to representing a continent. Burna Boy can, he is the African Giant.
It has been said that a movie is incomplete without a good soundtrack. In many cases, some soundtracks surpass the original film and are often considered as being so significant in their presentation, they are considered on their own independent of the movie

At the end we all gave a standing ovation, fine we didn’t quite clap but we did stand when the lights came on and everyone was really pleased. It was a crowd of mostly 90s kids and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as Swanky JKA (Nnamdi Okeke) dished out lectures in method acting. He became our childhood’s ANDY OKEKE, the resemblance was uncanny (Great work at casting). He walked like him, he talked like him (His Igbo rolled off the tongue in the same way as Andy’s), the emotions were expressed the same. The son became the father. We were at Filmhouse but a lot of us were back in our parents’ living rooms with our room dividers and akwa oche.

This MOVIE was totally UNBELIEVABLE, I mean that quite literally. It was a 100 percent UNBELIEVABLE. Not unbelievably good, just plain UNBELIEVABLE. See? If you read the word Unbelievable one more time eh. This is exactly what the movie gave us, an over flogged rhetoric mess. This movie should have been named PLOT TWIST, all the writers really wanted to do was twist the plot, over and over and over again till you remember that the entire movie is a lie.
