Whether it is good luck or bad is a matter of chance

I write this not for those who got “head” after his coin toss
It is for the extras and the stage crew in the movie called “Life”
All of us that Disney would never have made a movie about
I send this shout out to all the “nobodies” in the world

“I am Cinderella’s godmother whose name you do not know”
“Without my magic she would have had no dress for the ball”
“We are her evil step sisters according to you”
“We had to look bad so she could look good”

“I am the designer of the dress that hugs the model”
“Every perfect stitch cost me a night ”
“I am the teacher who taught the professor ”
“Every piece of knowledge he bears was refined by me”

“I am an extra in that successful movie ”
“I received no Grammy just for filling up the cast ”
“I am the costume designer and she is the script writer”
“Outside the ending credits we all but did not exist in the movie ”
“But it was our collective efforts that made the movie making possible”
“So every once in a while a toast to the back stage crew”
