We are great artists from all over this planet
But at this time we had not made our names yet
Beethoven, Mozart, Shakespeare and Hemingway
“Eternal demon we beseech thee please clear our way”
Looking so weak the Fallen One writhes in pain.
Bound by chains the price for those slain
From the first woman he whispered to on that day
To the man who died in sin just yesterday
With frail voice the great demon acknowledged us
His chilling words went thus :
” The abyss has just one single door and it is south”
“There is the gate which leads in but none which leads out”
Mozart spoke for us the masters of sound
“We seek the key to success which none has found ”
“Let entrancing melody come from every instrument I play”
” Serpent of The Garden let my tune bypass that of the sirens today”
Shakespeare spoke for the wielders of the quill
“Morning star let all who read my works stand still”
“Bless my quill, parchment and ink well”
“Let all I sit to write be asked of me to sell”
Lucifer looked up in that effeminate manner of his
Sinister smile showed he was ever at ease
Always ready to play the game of give and take
Yes, indeed the Ancient One was now awake
“I will open your eyes and you will indeed see”
“But forever your minds will be like a turbulent sea”
“The price of this thing it is you seek ”
“Is a tragic flaw that will make each of you weak”
“Like me you will shine for a while and then dim”
“From now onward achievements will teem”
But these artists were not afraid all the same
For them there was no price too big for fame
