It’s like a dance which starts slow and gradually builds up to a peak
Two strangers do the dance of the dark until both are weak
I love my darling so much yet I don’t remember the name
My sweetheart said a lot of things that I forget after I came
I am with my lover, but I still need a lover
Why I feel more alone now I wonder
I kiss with my eyes wide open to see that this is wrong
But that person grabs my mike and continues the song
Now we are spent we have nothing more to say
What do I ask a person that I need just for today?
Do I complement a face wearing the dark as a mask?
Don’t turn on the lights till am ready to do the task
And that person starts to dress without the promise of being loved
But am I bad because I am glad that the problem is solved?
And the movie is rewound back to the very start
Today another darling of a stranger to “love” for a day before I depart
