I sit by my hut, so forlorn;

As you enjoy your festivities;

You can’t imagine my hurt, pure fiction;

Fingers in an unbalanced equation.

You are stuffed with abundance;

I choke on endurance;

An ocean in class—World Apart.

You flaunt that diamond ring;

A sport car, 3 kids and a perfect body;

I hide my steel, 3 exs and a bloated belly;

Don’t rub it in my face;

Buy your corn in the GRA—World Apart.

Fresh to your feet;

Smiling at the examination sheet;

Your parents love;

Loads of sponsors;

Oh come across to my side of class;

An orphan, no sponsor;

Hustle + school;

Exam sheet never met such an unfriendly face;

Raggedy to the shoe lace;

World Apart.
